Cranky Microroastery

The project focuses on unifying two separate stores and transforming them into a coffee shop and a roastery. The main element of the design is the bar. It serves as the foundation for the production and the consumption of the coffee and it connects the roastery to the main cafe. It creates a new axis where all functions and preparations unfold. The users are exposed to the process of coffee making through all the senses. Seeing, hearing, smelling, touching and tasting throughout the experience. This axis is further emphasized by the opening of the wall and the linear lighting that visually and spatially connects the cafe with the roastery.
