Exploring concepts and ideas of the built environment in relation to the users and their needs. Thinking holistically.
V I I I B E A R C H I T E C T S is an architectural practice based in Cyprus and Greece. Founded by Dionysios Kakoulis, Grigoris Ktistis and Marcos Panayides, architects with academic and professional backgrounds in Europe and the Middle East.
We understand architectural composition as an experimental process, and we approach it with research by design. This methodology is applied consistently across projects of varying scales, with the overarching goal of attaining a comprehensive understanding of the intricate urban phenomenon and its ongoing evolution. We intend to operate with respect to both the individual and the society as a whole.
Place is the starting point of each project and a significant source of inspiration. Through extensive analysis of the context, we understand and emphasize its specific characteristics. The concept is shaped to enrich the dialogue between the place and the user, while the order of the content assures a unique experience in it.
